Former patient Carl Banks almost completed a diagnostic hat-trick at the Friarage…
“The service was excellent but it would have been easier to pop down the road, living a few miles outside of Northallerton.”
After having an ultrasound and CT scan in the Northallerton hospital – 12-miles from his home in Borrowby – he was told he’d need an MRI scan which meant a journey to James Cook.
“I couldn’t fault the team in Middlesbrough – they were excellent, really put me at ease and I thought the service I received was amazing, so much that I dropped them a line to say thank you,” he said.
“Of course, living a few miles outside of Northallerton it would have been easier to pop down the road. Although it wasn’t a problem for me, I do understand some patients may find those extra journeys difficult which is why I’m so supportive of the appeal, plus the Friarage is a great hospital.”
