Tuning pianos helps MRI scanner

Piano tuner FHN scanner Feb 2014 lrA big thank you to piano tuner, Michelle Rudd whose novel way of raising money for the Friarage Hospital MRI scanner appeal has raised £212.50.

She wanted to help a local good cause and was pleased to help by generously donating a percentage of her taking from tuning pianos during January  to the appeal.

Michelle who is based in Northallerton, but covers a range of up to 60 miles is celebrating 30 years of professional piano tuning. Her vast experience and ability has enabled her to tune for top venues such as Sage in Gateshead and Middlesbrough Town Hall. She is a member of The Pianoforte Tuners’ Association which is celebrating its centenary this year.

“It seemed a good idea to celebrate this too, by doing something positive for my community, which has supported my business for so long,” she said.
