Fundraising was a walk in the park for children from Emmy Jayne’s Nursery School in Northallerton.
Forty youngsters of all ages from the nursery’s little stars, Harrys, squirrels, little acorns and oaks put their best feet forward raising £744.50 for the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner appeal at the Friarage Hospital.
They walked from the nursery on Valley Road to Northallerton’s Applegarth Park and back – around a mile and a half – accompanied by their families and nursery staff .
A fun day was had by all and the toddlers enjoyed the fresh air, excitement and helped a good cause at the same time. They also remembered a special little boy who attended the nursery during the walk.
Amy Garnett who owns the nursery along with, Emma Carr, said: “We are delighted to help such a worthy cause which will benefit local families. The children all did really well completing the walk and we all had a wonderful day.”
Suzi Campbell from South Tees Hospitals Charity, said: “We are very grateful for this generous donation and would like to thank the children and their families, the nursery staff and everyone who generously sponsored them for their support.“
