Coffee swells scanner appeals coffers

FOF donation FHN MRI  Richmond Rotary 2Richmond Rotary Club’s donation to the Friends of the Friarage Hospital has provided a welcome boost to the scanner appeal.

A coffee morning organised by rotarian Chris Kirby in Richmond Town Hall was a great success with visitors catching up over a cuppa, enjoying some time out and raising £380 for the scanner appeal.

Richmond Rotary Club president, Peter Clarke, said: “We are delighted to support the Friarage MRI scanner appeal to provide this vital equipment for the Friarage Hospital. It was a welcome choice and a worthwhile cause which we will all benefit from.”

Chairman of The Friends of the Friarage, Dr Upendra Somasundram said: “We are very grateful to Richmond Rotary Club for supporting our appeal with this very welcome donation and to Richmondshire Town Council for the use of the town hall.”
