New MRI scanner opens thanks to fundraisers

A new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner is now up and running at the Friarage Hospital – thanks to the phenomenal support of the people of North Yorkshire. This month, the radiology team scanned their first patients on the diagnostic equipment which, when fully operational, will treat 22 patients a day, seven days a week.

A special event, ‘Spring Flowers with Adam Prest’ will help boost the Friarage Hospital MRI scanner appeal in its final stage. The entertaining demonstration is being held at Catterick Golf Club on Wednesday 11 May 2016. Guests should arrive for 1.30pm and the demonstration starts at 2pm followed by afternoon tea.
